Knowing your body shape will help you dress better

Want to look your best?

It is not about looking thin. It never is and never will be.
Height and weight don't matter.

Body shape does.



Generally body shapes can be narrowed down to four types: triangle, inverted-triangle, rectangle, and hourglass.

No, it doesn't mean that hourglass shape is the best and rectangle shape is the worst.

When you know your body shape, it is all about accentuating your shape and enhancing what you have so you feel your best in every outfit you own.

Triangle Body Shape

Your hips are wider than your shoulders and because of that you have a nicely defined waist. Your waist is your best asset so don’t be afraid to show it off.

Fashion tips:
Don't be afraid to show off your waist. Also, add volume to your shoulders and upper body.
Wear light-colors for your top and dark-colors for your bottoms to add contrast.
Wear bandeaus to show off arms and waist and also to even-out hip proportions.
Wear jackets that hit right above the waist to even-out hip proportions.

Inverted-Triangle Body Shape

You have broad shoulders, an ample bust and a wide back. Your shoulders and bust are usually larger than your hips.
Because of the inverted triangle shape, your legs may get quite alot of attention.

Fashion tips:
Show off your best assets which are your legs while softening your shoulders and upper body.
Wear bright colors bottoms or wide-leg pants / full skirts. Always remember to emphasize your best assets, your legs.
Cut-in tops are not recommended due to a broader upper-body.
Experiment with high-waisted styles to create an illusion of a waist.

Rectangle Body Shape

Your shoulders, bust, and hips are around the same size, with a less defined waistline.

Fashion tips:
Due to the balanced hips and busts, be sure to show your waist and accentuate those curves. Remember to show off your best assets too, your legs.
Wear blazers with structured shoulders to widen your shoulders.
Off-the-shoulder dress with a flare skirt would absolutely accentuate those natural curves you have.

Hourglass Body Shape

Your bust and hips are well balanced
You have a beautifully defined waist
Your waist is obvious and gracefully curves out to your hips

Fashion tips:
Don't be afraid to show off your curves.
Baggy clothing may not be right for you.
Fitted dresses and bodycon would be perfect.
Do pick thin, lightweight styles and fabrics.
Do wear skinny or straight leg jeans.
